My life proves "if there's a will there's a way". I grew up on the rough and tumble streets of New York.

Not knowing who even my natural father was, I escaped death at the hands of some local gangs on a couple of occasions.

Thank God I have a very religious mother who worked tirelessly to keep all her 8 children (and many of her grandchildren) on the straight and narrow. My Stepfather instilled in me a love of reading and learning being a black man with a master's degree (a rarity back then). He was my positive male role model.

Taking the lead learned my mother who taught me if you see a need that hasn't been addressed... try to meet that need. Don't just complain do something about it!

Therefore since 16 years of age I started sport and youth programs to help other young people in my neighborhood. This passion to help others eventually lead me to believe one of the greatest things I could accomplish in life is to help others achieve financial freedom.

But in order to help others achieve financial freedom you have to learn to become financially independent yourself. This lead me down the challenging and rueful path of trying to start viable businesses.

I started various business ventures to no avail. My first business venture generated nearly $5,000 in one day (more than a month of salary on my former corporate job).

That business went on to generate me nearly almost $12,000 dollars the first month! However the high costs of rent, stocking a store, utilities, labor, and other business expenses totally defunded the business.

After moving this business to a better location downtown with more street traffic I was pleased to be making good money in a second location. However, even when I made good money in the second location the landlord lost the building in the recession of 1990.

Talk about learning about business in the school of hard knocks! Even when I had a viable business it was taken away from me because of external factors like the landlord going belly up!

All my capital, investments in time for three years was lost because the landlord lost the building where I rented my store.

I was almost homeless on a couple of occasions!

This taught me a very valuable lesson...

The next time you go into business you have to own the place of your business operations or... You run a homebased business!

My second business was a homebased sales business. It was a disaster to keep going. Even when I sold ad space for independent publishers they would frequently go out of business. Leaving me with no commission or angry customers.

Eventually a mentor, who took pity on me gave me some trade secrets on how to gain new clients using the InternetI learned how to use email to generate tens of thousands of dollars without a website.

In those days I made a full-time income using the Internet even before I owned a computer. I would go down to the library and use the free computers to get sales leads and then used a broadcast feature on my fax to reach potential clients. This low-cost technique generated a few thousand dollars a month on the front-end and more on the backend of my business.

Most importantly this was almost the ideal business because it had very low expenses or overhead to run. This helped me to realize the amazing profit potential of the Internet

Once my daughter (the joy of my life) was born with special challenges I wanted to stay home and take care of her. Eventually I started a web design business.

The website business wasn't profitable because most people don't value investing in websites. They primarily feel this way since most websites don't make any money.

I thought to myself if I can figure out how to help people actually make money with their websites perhaps they would invest in my services. It was a no brainer figuring out one of the first things you need to succeed selling online is high traffic.

I have tried almost every single traffic strategy there is (that makes sense), but search engine traffic seems to be the best way to drive new customers.

Until I used both free and pay search engine traffic I couldn't get more than a few hundred people a month consistently to my sites.

This lead me down the path of learning search engine optimization or SEO. Starting first with less competitive keywords then I discovered SEO wasn't rocket science.

I ferociously started investing in any SEO book I could. Plus I began to study Internet marketing with some of the most successful people out there.

Before I knew I was starting to come up on top of the search engines for about 30 or so competitive keywords.

Tens of thousands of site visitors began to find me on the search engines for my various sites. It became apparent to me that traffic is great...

But in order to build a Internet business you have to convert your site traffic into paying customers.

Next I started to invest in learning Internet traffic conversion techniques from some of the best sales stars on the Internet

And finally my Internet fortunes started to build online in Record time!

With applying my new found knowledge on search engines and sales conversion...

I have been able to finally "monetize" my websites making money with affiliate programs, selling physical products, and selling my own info-products.
